St. Anthony played host to Marshall Thursday night and dropped a volleyball match.

Marshall won in two games. The scores were 25-10, 25-17.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Stella Passalacqua had 1 kill, 2 blocks; Claire Sudkamp 2 kills; Taylor Ritz 2 kills, 1 block; Lucy Fearday 1 kill, 1 ace, 1 block, 2 points; Kyra Swearingen 2 kills, 1 block, 14 assists; Ada Rozene 2 kills, 1 ace, 2 points; and Rileigh Haarman 1 ace, 1 point.

St. Anthony won the junior varsity game 20-25, 25-17, 15-8; and the Marshall won the freshman contest. The scores were 25-17, 13-8.

St. Anthony will host an invitational Saturday.

St. Anthony hosted Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday night and dropped a close three-game match.

CHBC won the opener 25-20. St. Anthony came back to win the middle game 26-24, but the guests took the match with a 25-22 decision in the deciding game.

St. Anthony won the junior varsity match by scores of 25-22, 25-17; and the freshman contest 25-7, 25-15.

The Lady Bulldogs will host its own invitational Saturday.

The St. Anthony Lady Bulldogs had to rally Thursday night, but won their final two games to notch their first volleyball match of the season at Robinson.

After dropping the opening game 25-15, the Lady Bulldogs bounced back to win 26-24, 25-14.

For St. Anthony, Elizabeth Kabbes had 1 ace, 3 points; Stella Passalacqua 4 kills, 3 blocks; Kate Hartke 3 aces, 5 points; Taylor Ritz 8 kills, 4 aces, 1 block, 14 points; Kyra Swearingen 1 kill, 3 aces, 16 assists, 7 points; Ada Rozene 9 kills, 2 points; and Rileigh Haarman 1 ace, 3 points.

Robinson won the junior varsity match by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 15-13; and the Lady Bulldogs won the freshman match by scores of 25-22, 16-25, 25-20.

St. Anthony will play Saturday at Casey-Westfield.

The St. Anthony volleyball team notched a two-game victory Tuesday night at Neoga.

The scores were 25-21, 25-18.

For the Lady Bulldogs, Elizabeth Kabbes had 1 kill, 1 ace, 6 points; Stella Passalacqua 3 kills, 2 blocks; Kate Hartke 5 points; Taylor Ritz 5 kills, 1 ace, 3 points; Lucy Fearday 6 kills, 2 aces, 4 points; Kyra Swearingen 1 kill, 2 aces, 1 block, 19 assists, 6 points; and Ada Rozene 6 kills, 1 block, 1 points.

Neoga won the junior varsity match by scores of 25-21, 20-25, 16-14; and St. Anthony won the freshman contest. The scores were 25-15, 25-16.

St. Anthony will return to action Saturday at the Mahomet-Seymour Invitational.

St. Anthony dropped its season-opening volleyball match at home Thursday night to South Central, but both games were very close.

The Lady Cougars prevailed 28-26, 25-22.

The St. Anthony junior varsity squad posted a win in three games. The scores were 20-25, 25-14, 15-12.

In the freshman contest, South Central prevailed 25-14, 25-22.

St. Anthony will play at home again Tuesday night. It will be Pink Out Night and the Lady Bulldogs will play host to Effingham.
