St. Anthony’s Macy Ludwig and Effingham’s Ava Boehm both qualified to play in the final round at the IHSA Girls State Golf Tournament at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur.

Both girls finished in the top 24 after Friday’s opening round, qualifying for Saturday’s second round. Ludwig shot 82-80-162 to tie for 24th overall and Boehm finished 81-84-165 to tie for 34th.

The Effingham Lady Hearts qualified as a team and finished 10th after the opening round. But only the top 8 teams advance to the finals.

Boehm shot 81 Friday, while Morgan Krouse finished with 88, Kennedy Collier 94 and Anna Sigg 103 to complete the team scoring. Jaelyn Boone (116) and Anna Hirtzel (124) also played.

St. Anthony’s Reagan Westendorf and Lauren Schwing also qualified for the state tourney as individuals. Westendorf shot 84 and Schwing 85 on Friday, but didn’t make the top 24.
